SUMMARY

Eastern-flank corridor defense during a large adversary exercise, modeled on Zapad-2025 posturing, the Belarus border migrant pressure, drone incursions into Polish and Baltic airspace, and rail and GNSS interference.

PURPOSE

Keep the ground line of communication through the corridor open and NATO reinforcement flowing while hybrid pressure builds below Article 5.

END STATE

Corridor remains trafficable; no allied fratricide against unidentified UAS; every escalatory decision is documented with the evidence that drove it.

KEY TASKS
  • Keep rail and road reception open through sabotage and border disruption.
  • Classify and respond to airspace incursions without over-escalating.
  • Operate the CP through jamming, spoofing, and civilian network denial.

Rail signalling sabotage on the reception line

A national rail operator reports deliberate interference with signalling on the double-track line feeding the reception, staging, and onward-movement site. Two trains carrying brigade rolling stock are halted. Police are treating it as sabotage; restoration estimate is 9-18 hours.

Multiple UAS cross the border and orbit near the staging area

Between four and seven small unmanned aircraft cross from the east and transit within 3 km of the staging area over 20 minutes. Type is unconfirmed — consistent with decoy airframes recovered after previous incursions. Civil airport 22 km away suspends departures.

Broad-area GNSS denial across the corridor

Position and timing services degrade across the entire brigade AO in a pattern matching the sustained regional interference reported since 2024. Blue force tracking updates stall, and two convoy serials report divergent positions for the same vehicle.

Organized migrant surge at two border crossings

Several hundred people are moved to the border by bus and pushed toward two crossing points overnight. Host-nation border guards request assistance. Camera crews arrive within the hour; footage of allied soldiers at the fence is already circulating.

Wiper attempt against a host-nation logistics contractor

The host-nation firm running fuel distribution for the staging area reports encrypted files and a destroyed backup server. Indicators overlap with previously reported destructive-wiper families used against Ukrainian and Polish logistics targets. Fuel issue reverts to paper.
